In The Classroom: Food Prints at JFK Elementary

Student got messy making prints with foods from all over the world!

Teaching Artist Brooke lead a wonderful lesson exploring the geographic origins of fruits veggies. The students made booklets with food prints and maps coded to show where each food was from. They loved getting to use paint and food to make art! The class read from the book "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" and each student drew an imagined world where food falls from the sky.

One students said: "If you are getting messy, you know you are having fun!" We agree!
